Bienvenue Jen!
Bonjour, guten Tag, y hola to Jen, our new teacher in Bristol. She looks forward to singing with you all and here she tells us a little bit about her journey into learning and teaching languages...
Hi everyone, my name is Jen. I have always loved learning languages, ever since my first experience of a language lesson in school at age 11. There is nothing quite like the wonderful feeling you get from communicating something in a different language for the first time, or understanding a new word or phrase, and I am constantly amazed by the experiences, places and people learning languages can give you access to!

I therefore decided to study French and German and to follow my degree with a year travelling and working in South America so that I could learn Spanish too. Keen to share my passion for languages with children and young people, I became a secondary school French, German and Spanish teacher after my return from South America, and have since worked in two schools teaching students aged 11 to 18, which has been an incredibly rewarding experience.

I am currently teaching French in a primary school alongside being a Mum, and am thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to teach younger pupils. My little girl Eva and I have been attending Babel Babies for the past year and have absolutely loved singing languages together in class and at home, so I am delighted and very excited to be joining the team and leading the Babel Babies Bristol sessions!
